Manhattan

According to many stories, the cocktail was created at the Manhattan Club in New York around 1870. But a bartender at the time claims the drink was made earlier, by Black, a bartender at a Broadway cafe. Whatever the truth is, by 1900 the cocktail was a hit and it still is.

  • 60 ml Four roses bourbon
  • 30 ml Red vermouth
  • 2 Maraschino Cherries
  • 2 dashes of orange bitters
